Butler & Hosch has made a strong, progressive commitment
and investment to be technologically advanced within the mortgage
banking legal industry. As part of that investment, we have developed
a highly interactive website for Butler & Hosch clients, investors
and homeowners to use to minimize the amount
of time they spend requesting duplicate copies of documents,
through
telephone
calls,
faxes,
and
e-mails. Of course, one of the advantages
of this interactive website is that it is available 24-hours
per day, everyday.
The website taps into
the in-house imaging system which contains all pertinent documents
for each client’s
matters. This secure, user-friendly website features a separate
entrance from which each user may search for a document on a
particular matter and have the search results
displayed quickly and easily. The images are available
to simply view, print or e-mail. All pertinent documents that
Butler & Hosch receives are scanned directly into this imaging
system.
Butler & Hosch uses a web-based imaging system developed
especially for the mortgage
banking industry. This system is utilized to gain efficiencies
in various departments and to reduce timelines. For instance, we
have trimmed two (2) days off of the amount of time it takes to
obtain title search documents. We do this
by using our computers to order the title search on-line, obtain
images of the title search via
e-mail, and then automatically move
those images directly into our imaging database to make
them available to staff and clients, regardless of the physical location.
To enable us to continuously improve and
reduce timelines, we have taken our preferred vendor's records into
consideration and are now requiring these key vendors to update
their technology in order to provide critical information electronically.
For example, vendors that provide necessary legal documents in
the foreclosure process are now required to do so electronically
through an imaged product to reduce paperwork and improve timelines.
Efforts such as these demonstrate our desire to be pro-active
and progressive in our ability
to serve our clients and make such efficiencies work to reduce
the overall timeline.
